So often players are just thrown into games without the guidance and time to let their physical skills & abilities develop. Most coaches are focused on teaching the game situational side with game reads and set plays. Their focus is on the team aspect side of basketball leaving less emphasis on the individual skill side of the sport. Even then, with their skill development many are still teaching the same and sometimes outdated drills that don’t produce results.

Now players are left to figure this side of the game for themselves. In turn the individuals that naturally figure things out on their own tend to get more playing time, leading to more experience on the court leaving the other players wondering what they are missing out on.

No game reads, no X’s and O’s just building each individual’s skillset over time through a proven checklist training system that has developed 50,000+ youth players, 10,000+ college players, and 100+ NBA players.

Within this system you will be working to unlock over 750 skills that will help you become a more skilled basketball player. Within our program you will not only learn what the techniques and abilities you’re missing out on but also the mindset on how to properly approach training and improve on your own.

BUILD YOUR SKILLSET FOR THE LONG TERM

Personal training means “personal attention” and focusing on each individual’s personal weaknesses. While many people get caught up in the “private training” mentality, 1-on-1 doesn’t mean better quality. In fact, our personal training sessions may include up to 1-3 additional players to enable more effective workouts.

Our training sessions utilize the I’m Possible Checklist Training System and skill enhancement training where we work with you to unlock each skill within the game of basketball. This comes from not only enhancing your skills through our training program, but also spacing your personal training sessions out in a manner that serves long-term growth. At Cornerstone Hoops we focus on teaching kids how to train on their own and giving them a roadmap to build their skillset.

Personal Training subscriptions also include one Lab training session a week.

BUILD YOUR SKILLS

Our Labs are designed to give players at least two times each week to really rep out and build their skills sets over time to have more freedom to physically perform in their games.

Improve your finishing, no matter your size or athletic makeup. Gain shotmaking skills and enhance your ability to drive to the basket. Improve your basketball specific footwork and your ability to create space off the dribble. Enhance your ball handling and dribbling skills at a world-class level.

KIDS LAB

Kids Lab is taking a break until the summer.

4TH-8TH LAB

Sundays: 3-4 pm

Mondays: 7-8 pm

Fridays: 5-6 pm

ADVANCED LAB

Sundays: 3-4 pm

DAVID HINKLE

A native of Harrisonburg, Virginia, David went to Spotswood High School where he currently is an assistant coach for the varsity girls basketball program under coach Chris Dodson. He was personally mentored by world renowned NBA Trainer Micah Lancaster and is a certified I’m Possible Trainer.

Does my training membership automatically renew?

Yes, all training memberships are recurring models.

How do I cancel my monthly membership?

To cancel, visit your profile visit the the 'Member Login' page to manage your active subscriptions or contact us directly. You must contact us or cancel it yourself before your renewal date. There are no refunds.

What is your schedule for Personal Training?

Scheduling for this program is coordinated with David upon sign up or the beginning of each month to find times that work for your schedule even during busier times of the year so you can train year round.

Do you offer a one time training session to try out?

After our phone call and we determine if you are a good fit for any of our program, we will set up a evaluation session to get a better idea of our training and test your skills.
